Artist's Statement about this work: This is a painting I did from a sketch I did while I was in Escalante, Utah. Through this painting, I aim to inspire reverence for the past and the beauty of resilience in the face of time's relentless march. It prompts viewers to appreciate the value of preserving our cultural and natural heritage and to find beauty in the imperfections and the echoes of history that surround us.

Artist's Statement about this work: I had just picked some tomatoes and early carrots from my garden. When I placed them on the table in the kitchen I was taken with how the light showed the different shapes dancing around together. I thought, "This would make a fun little painting," so I painted it.

Artist's Statement about this work: OXALIS - The purple shamrock is a shy perennial houseplant. The leaves fold down at night or when disturbed. The delicate white flowers also close at night, to reawaken to indirect sunlight and brighten your day all over again.

Artist's Statement about this work: This painting was on 300 pound cold press paper. I like doing detail on 300 pound paper because it does not spread the water as far and I have more control. The watercolors I used were transparent watercolors. I took a picture of the subject while we were waiting for lunch in August.
